To give you my support.
I have a child in reception he will not be going back it isnt safe yet for him or staff. What they are suggesting isn't the solution it won't work. I don't want my child traumatised by the guidelines they are stating. Its going to cause the children and staff far to much stress. It would be far better if a proper doable realistic plan was worked on and changes to schools being made to be able to manage these like building changes etc then things can at least be alot more managed and handle properly in September far better than the mad rush and half thought about plan.

I spoke to my form parents today - we ring each week. Over half said they were not allowing their children to return.

Thank you for your kind words FlowersSmile

I made the mistake of reading the comments under a news article yesterday. So many people making nasty comments about how teachers are lazy/just want more holidays etc. I know it's ridiculous but it really got to me Sad

It's nice to hear from people who don't feel that way.

There a few parents who want children back aa they are struggling parenting all the time i get that it is difficult for some but there seems to be absolutely no thought or respect for teachers ta office staff site staff dinner ladies cooks or the children themselves. We need to think rationally and ppan things to prevent another wave and throwing teachers school staff and children in like this isn't tha way at all.

Also want to add my support and thanks for all you’ve been doing. People need to be pissed off with the govt, not teachers. Sadly some individuals are too stupid to realise this.

I have asked my DC's Headteachers (and SN staff) if there is anything I can do to show my support for staff who don't want to return, and for those who are vulnerable and ignored. I have written to my MP. (If anyone here has any other suggestions please let me know).

My DC definitely won't be back until September and we are trying to keep their education up at home.

If I hear one more time that the risk to DC is very low Angry why do they miss the point the teachers's risks aren't low.

I have known my DC's support staff (with our family and different DC) for 20 years so perhaps it feels different for me as I see them as proper people, not just someone there solely to educate my DC.

I have also written to my MP as I am shielded and the government also seem to be happy to fuck us over seeing us too as collateral damage. I bet my MP just loves me Grin

Also some of my DC are of the exams next year, year (please don't mark my SPaG Wink) and I think parents need to be concentrating their efforts on how this will change, rather than expecting everything to be the same and staff to sacrifice themselves for this!

I also think (sadly) the more parent pressure the government get, the more likely it is they will take it on board, rather than ignoring teachers. I also fear the government will present this as them wanting to get our DC's eduction v the unions who of course are obstructive and parents should hate them...after all they are masters of this tactic.

I feel the same. My child will be at home until it is safe.
