If so, would you mind if I ask your advice?
I'm an English teacher in the UK, but my husband and I are hoping to move back to his home country as soon as I get a viable job offer (I've had a few, but I have a number of "dream schools" in mind and I'm trying to hold out for one of them coming through).
Back at my current school, I've had an offer to teach a second subject, beginning in the new academic year. One of my foremost considerations in accepting this or not is whether this would make me more or less employable to an international school in the long term. I'll be applying for English jobs, so I'd be concerned if I'm not a "pure" English teacher as such, that might go against me. Or would having a second subject be of benefit?
If anyone has experience on this, I'd love to hear it. Thank you.
