This must be the only profession that actually tries to drive out experienced colleagues

I am so, so pissed off tonight.

Constant sly digs about being the most highly paid.
Ridiculous demands put in.
Moronic attitudes towards behaviour and discipline from people who've taught for 5 years.
Threats to be moved to the other end of the school for the 'experience'.

I am actually being ridiculed for having experience in my role.

Never thought it would come to this. Totally pissed off tonight angry

You are completely right. It is madness.

Hat sounds dreadful. What do you mean by moronic attitudes to discipline?

No, the large corporate I worked for had a cull in 1992 and 1998 and 2008 and 2011 where everyone at the top of their scale and anyone capable of individual thought was managed out. I lasted until 2011, I'm not proud.

I was driven out of a school I taught in for thirteen years - not as much as a leaving card! It was down to budget, even though I'd remained on M6 for years until I left.

Now working for £9.50 as a SEN HLTA as not been successful in finding a teaching role. HT's can't afford to employ experienced teachers so have to go for NQTS/RQTS.
