Presume I was unsuccseful?

The closing date for a job application was last Friday. They said in the ad they were shortlisting today. I presume that I haven't been successful if they were shortlisting today and I haven't been contacted. Or would they contact the day after?

It might have gone on quite late and they are contacting tomorrow, don't give up hope yet.
