What bag do you have?

I'm sick of having two bags for school - backpack plus a canvas tote for overspill! What bag do you have that fits a laptop, lunchbox, water bottle, planner and a few extra bits and pieces?! I would like to be able to close it so it's less tempting for little hands to dip into it...

Bonus points if it leaves hands free for carrying a book box or tray of resources.

Tesco Orla Kiely lookalike bag for life £4 or £5 has lasted a year so far. Can carry a full set of books when needed, printed lesson resources, planner, pencil case, note pad, laptop, charger and water bottle with some extra pens at the bottom :)

The problem with one bag is that it's so heavy if you have laptop etc.

I love the Mia Tui bags and use one for planner, water bottle, stationery etc. I has a pull out small handbag in which I keep phone, cards etc.

I keep the Tesco Orla Kiely canvas bags at work to bring stuff home - have had them years.

Lunch is separate bag that has shoulder strap. The game changer for me was a lockable filing cabinet in my classroom, so I could leave stuff in school all week or longer. I lock my handbag away during the day - keep car keys in it so it can't be left at school by mistake.

I also try to avoid taking home books - homework in half termly booklets and assessments on lined paper. I have tried online planners, but prefer the school ones. Has to be A4 with my eyesight. I plan at school before I go home and then take a photo of the page, so I can refer to it at home if I need to. Still take it home on Fridays.

Tesco Orla Kiely here too. Teaching staple obviously. I also have a big Cath Kidston oilcloth one which zips shut. Can't hold books but laptop, planner, lunch etc all fine.

I have a Seasalt hessian one, the bigger one. Holds my A4 planner, laptop, piles of papers, books if I take them and a whole load of other crap I like something I can put over my shoulder.

I used to use a shopping trolley for school stuff after getting fed up with managing multiple bags and dropping stuff in the car park or while trying to open the door. Also used a wheeled suitcase temporarily when the first trolley broke. Especially useful when teaching in different rooms. I had previously had lots of shoulder problems, but then a physio told me to stop putting stuff on my shoulder....... Colleagues laughed to begin with, but I noticed others followed suit!

I have a backpack on wheels from Argos. It's large enough to fit books in and has several compartments. I can get everything in it.

I bought it because I have a back problem and struggle to lug everything around. It's the best thing I've bought!

I use a Fjallraven backpack. The biggest size. Fits a class set of books, litre water bottle and lunch tub. It also has a separate compartment for my laptop.

I'm tempted by the Mia Tui bag though. I feel about 13 with my backpack on

I've had a shopping trolley too. I walked to school so would take it. Fab for putting books in and milk when I was on milk-buying duty!

Currently a big red leather bag from Zara bought much cheaper in Spain. I have a Primark organiser in it for all the small tat bits I may need at home/school.

There's a stash of those very strong bags for life if books absolutely have to come home with me.
