Post is HLTA in lower age primary. I'll be teaching whole classes (fine as I'm a qualified teacher).

I've only had interviews in the summer before, and have worn a smart tea dress and linen jacket. I'm not sure what to wear for this one though. I don't own a suit! I'll have to teach in the interview so need to be comfortable.

Last few times I've worn jersey dress, tights, flats and a cardigan. Very comfy, looks tidy and as long as dress is not too short then it's suitable for teaching! Have also worn black trouser with smart top or top plus cardigan. My main aim is to look tidy and be comfy. Most schools seem to have a more relaxed dress code than when I was first teaching 20 years ago.

Great, I was thinking of a plain jersey long sleeve dress, black tights and shoes. A nice cardigan could go on top. The school is boiling so I probably won't keep it on!

Lots of layers is always a good idea! My current school has underfloor heating and it can be pretty warm at times.

Ooh I just found a black jersey blazer cut like a tuxedo jacket, from Topshop in my wardrobe. I think the smart cut but casual fabric will work. Looks well presented but stretchy and movable 👌
