Hello. When do the schools hear about how many children they have starting in reception? Is it before the parents are told?

Thank you:-)

National offers day is normally mid April. Yes, schools know numbers etc before this.

I was talking to the head at ds's school last week and he knew how many had put school as their first choice at that time.

They won't give that info out to parents though.

Do you mean are the schools given the names of the children before their parents are told? Yes
We always know how many will start (PAN).

Our school was given the number of ‘first choice’ options last week.
