Finished today for two glorious weeks after an enjoyable but naturally hectic term!

I'm looking forward to spending some real quality time with DH and DS, not having to dash about all over, catching up on films/books , seeing family and generally relaxing. As well as Christmas day of course!

We have plans Christmas day and the 27th but otherwise lots of time to do as we please.

I hope everyone enjoys the holidays - what are you looking forward to?

Sounds similar to me OP, great term but so busy and I’m now down with the oblig head cold!

Still, I’m looking forward to seeing all the special people that o don’t get to see during term time and hanging out with DD and DH who has also got two weeks off.

No. More. UCAS. References.

Looking forward to spending time with my family guilt-free and having a lovely Christmas with them. Finishing books. Getting a reasonable amount of sleep. It’s going to be fab!

I literally had tears of exhaustion welling in my eyes as I drove home today... It has been a long and tough term... I'm looking forward to seeing more of my kids, husband and cat not sure about the order, getting a bit more sleep and exercise, and catching up on some reading!
Planning a few festive days out too if the weather is OK...
Oddly, I'm excited about doing some serious planning for the rest of the school year! (But definitely need to relax a bit first!)

I’ve crawled towards today for the last two weeks and could do a little dance of relief today! Beyond exhausted!

I’m looking forward to:

Lie-ins
Walks
Hanging out with my teenage DCs and my lovely DH
Reading
Watching TV
Eating delicious food (haven’t managed more than half a wolfed down sandwich for lunch in weeks)
Lots of time for self-care! Long hot baths, exercise, meditation, sleeeeeeep

No more UCAS references (with you there, NobleGiraffe)
No mock marking for at least three weeks
Sleep - lots and lots of lovely sleep

Watching day time Tv
Being able to go to the toilet when I want to
Ditto for a cup of tea
Drinking a cup of tea that is still warm
Sitting down to eat lunch
Spending more time with my family than with the photo copier.

@Ricekrispie22 I thought I was the only one having an emotionally intense affair with the photocopier?

No alarm! I need to switch off the work button in my head and just relax. I'm not very good at that.

Need to finish sorting the house out before the adult children arrive home - have been on zombie mode for the last couple of weeks. Then enjoy my lovely family.

Apply for a couple of jobs my impostor syndrome says I'm not up to but my brain says I could rock. I need to have more faith in myself.

Being in Australia, the Christmas hols are the summer hols, so not back until late January:

I've discovered some walking trails on the Mornington Peninsula that accept dogs on leads so looking forward to this

Try a late camping booking: I am thick as; campsites need booking years in advance.

Get the garden in order, the aim is to minimise watering.

Go into the CBD to the galleries and Hamlet in the Botanical Gardens

Sit in the front garden and read.

Ooh reading this has reminded me to turn the alarm off!

Glad lots of us are looking forward to relaxing!

I will definitely enjoy drinking the cups of tea I make - I seem to permanently have a cold one on my desk!

We've been off a week already and so far it's been lie-ins, Christmas shopping, fun with my own kids and actual conversation with my husband.
