(4 Posts)I’m a parent of a year 11 who did once love MFL-unfortunately, years of incredibly poor teaching coupled with the level of content at GCSE has put a whole cohort off-literally no one is planning on doing A levels in a language. My DS who is yr 9 is the same. There are just few good teachers around here imo
Long overdue first step, but we need to get rid of the foundation and higher tier, too.
It has given me hope. I cannot get my head round why French has been made so difficult for all these years. Who writes the exams? I’d love to have a word...
It is high time this issue was addressed. MFL teachers : will this be enough to persuade students back to your subjects or is it too little, too late?
