I have an interview coming up in a primary school as a teacher. My brief is to “bring in an item of interest to stimulate conversation in a class of mixed ability year 1/2 class” any ideas on what I could take in as my item??

A locked suitcase which rattles when you shake it. Maybe with some travel stickers on the outside.

Is it with actual children or adults pretending to be children?

You can use basically anything at all. It’s the way you use it that matters,

Sorry, just reread. Are you already a primary teacher or applying to train?

I am unsure whether it is with children or adults pretending as it wasn’t stated in the email but will be ringing up to find out. Thank you for your idea

I qualified from university this year so this would be my first teaching job. Will it all to do with my questioning about the object that matters?

If it’s a teaching interview it will be a class. Have none of your cohort got jobs?

Odd task because that’s a classic pgce interview one.
