Not saying it on any other social media because it seems showy off to non teachers.
What a year! Lots if ups and fab memories but lots of tough times, ofsted, exam season, behaviour and drug instances! A hard slog at times.
Hope you all enjoy your summer break 🌞🌞 roll on that first drink at the pub after school today!

I have been supporting an extremely violent child this year, so I will join you in that yaayyyy at 3pm. I don't think today will be good no structure and extra assembly is hard for him. I am massively looking forward to not being kicked, punched, spat at etc for 6 whole weeks.

To all the teachers who take the time with each child to learn about them, to teach them and to help them achieve things that sometimes just seemed impossible - I as a mother would like to thank you!
My daughter has had a really hard year. Her dad has been in and out of hospital and each time he goes in is one trip closer to him never coming out.
My daughters teacher (year 6) has been amazing, she has supported her, comforted her and giving her techniques to cope, techniques that will last a life time. She achieved greater depth in all of her SATs. So for this I thank each and everyone of you! Without teachers like my daughters. I would never have been able to help her as much as I have!
I know on here teachers get a hard time, but just know there are people out there who appreciate you!

I am not a teacher, but I cannot imagine how tough the last few weeks must have been, if the knackeredness of my DC is anything to go by. Can't imagine trying to deal with a whole class of the little blighters!

Enjoy your break, you've earned it. I hope you all get as much rest and recreation as you possibly can. ThanksCakeGinWine

Still half a week to go here - the kids are knackered, the staff are knackered and they really are ready to break up now! (I’m also gleefully looking forward to getting DD2 out of the crappy situation she’s been in this year with a teacher who really hasn’t worked out for her - next year’s is a bloody awesome one)

Finished today and also feeling yaaay! It's been a challenging, interesting and good year, finishing up with getting a promotion in my school for September.

I'm now ready for a long restful 6 weeks! Off on holiday in the early hours so need to get to sleep now.

Happy summer to those who have finished and hang on in there those of you early there.

What a busy year. Not felt this tired since the kids were tiny sleep sucking babies.

Had a Yr7 nod off on the desk earlier in the week too, bless em they're exhausted too.

This morning was GREAT. That feeling of it stretching out in front of you is just fabulous.
