Anyone else still with Year 11s?

Ours are awful and spent today throwing books out of the open window, drawing cocks on the wall and listening to music on their phones.

I really wish they'd fuck off!

No. That was my year 10s today though Grin. Well, not the phones, because they aren't allowed.

We’ve still got ours.
They’re basically running the school now because they’re immune to all sanctions. Dreadful.
I’ve got to do anther 4 hours revision with mine yet and I want to cry.

Yep another week and a half. Mine made paper aeroplanes - I have two sets so 12 more lessons .... I am supposed to make them revise for exams in other subjects as (after Friday) they have finished all mine.
It's crazy

How are they immune to all sanctions? They should not be at all!

What is the rationale for them still being in? Ours left at half term. Sounds dreadful.

Well, what can we actually DO shits?

The rationale is so they can work right up until the end.

The rationale is that you are not allowed to have study leave any more - that's what our HT said yesterday. It is buggering up our attendance figures as they keep sodding off when they don't have exams.

Yep ours are all in. Behaviour is reasonable though - but phones/headphones are allowed. I don't particularly care if you've got your headphones in and are daydreaming about Prom/Lunch/spotty boy in 6th form - provided you are silent and others can revise.

Will still be a relief to get rid of them.

Well, it is allowed but counts as authorised absence. Our attendance is rubbish so we can't let them go.

Ours are still here. They are still behaving relatively well as well, they don't seem to have realised that if they just don't bother turning up to detentions there's nothing we can do, they dutifully attend all the detentions they are set. I've had 2 lovely lessons with mine today, one in the morning at their normal lesson time, then most of them came back for a revision session after school. Their exam is tomorrow though, so they're feeling a bit panicky.

Ours are still in too. They are generally hard work at the moment because they have had enough.

Some keep skiving after a morning exam and so that are then wandering the school site because they can't actually get out.

Hoping they will let them go soon!

Ours are still in. We're supposed to be revising our subject with them until they've sat the exam, but they often come in completely drained from having just sat a massive 2 hour exam or whatever. Loads of them go truanting round the school, which has caused behaviour lower down the school to deteriorate.

I tried to do a proper revision lesson on Monday on a topic that they all did badly on in the mock, but it was a waste of time - I had to battle with them all the way through the lesson. When I was talking to them at the start, they just wouldn't shut up and when I handed out some practice questions, most of them didn't give a shit, and didn't bother doing it. Then half the class got up and left early anyway because they had an afternoon exam - it's all so disruptive, they should have left at half-term.

Ours are still in but are mostly in exams or subject drop-down sessions for their next exam. There’s definitely a fair bit of absence that we’re turning a blind eye to on non-exam days but the behaviour is fine. At this time of year there’s silent study, supervised by SLT, in the Hall for anyone that wants to go there. So in lessons you only have the ones who want to do work for your subject left. I’ve seen very little of my Year 11s since the exams started. The gained time has been nice. But the lessons that I have had for revision with small groups has been good too.

Yes, still got mine! And they’re doing Further Maths too so aren’t done till the 17th, an extra week after the other maths teachers start luxuriating in their gained time.

End of next week. Can't come soon enough. Tbh some have been banned from prom it's been so bad

Monkey this is what makes me sad - this has happened to some of ours too. It's not because they are naughty kids but it's a melting pot of stress, hormones, being grilled by every teacher and stretched in all direction - then they blow and get banned from the prom.
Being back study leave and revision classes
