Today was such a bonkers day at school! Year 11s were running riot and staff were so frazzled that we had several bust ups between staff as well!

I will now drink a bathtub full of gin and go to bed at 7.30 Gin

God help them with their GCSEs, mine said they might start revising tomorrow. More Gin

Oh dear OP - sounds like you need plenty of Gin

Can't believe your Y11 have finished! Ours are still very much with us - our school usually don't let them go until a week or so after half term! Had a few stay to revise this evening as well.

They aren't doing much outside of lessons though so I'm one way, I'm glad to still have them even though they are being challenging at the moment.

We are keeping ours as long as we can. Some will only be in for exams now. Some want to keep coming in as they know it's the only place they will do any work at all.

OMG I'm jealous! Our don't go until last exam...physics. My bloody subject.

Ours left today as well. We didn't even get much I'm the way of thanks. I'd been a tutor for that year group for 5 years. One card. One kid cared.
Mind you, lots are back on Monday for their exams.

God Urban, that’s pretty shit.
Ours went today, think we all survived but only just. I had my decent ( as opposed to my other y11 group who have been foul for the whole 2 years) last thing and some other y11s were playing football in the corridor and banging on the doors etc during the bloody lesson.

I'm a TA but have a year 11 and ours have let four students go on study leave and everyone else is in until exams finish!
They are doing full lessons and revision from what I can gather around exams.
Mine isn't doing languages so finishes before most others (SEN) and I'm a bit baffled what she is meant to do for the two weeks between hers finishing and prom when they are meant to be in.
Bit confused about it all tbh!

Ours are also all in full time till god knows when - doesn't help that my lot gave completely finished (BTEC) so I've not even got last minute revision to do with them I'm just baby sitting

We have to keep ours until the last exam has been sat, even when they’ve done the exam for their subject. Feel sorry for the teachers of subjects that are done early on - I think I only have to crowd control mine for a few lessons at the end.

So jealous. We have ours until the last day of exams. What is that, like polish writing or something 🙄.

Urbanmage I wouldn’t give gifts til after the exams. That’s when it’s really over.

I agree Urban.
I'll be giving my kids Senco a present and card but I wasn't giving it until after exams are done. She's going to prom partially to support DD so was going to do it then.
Now wondering if I should give it earlier.

As I said I am a primary TA but I pity the secondary teachers with children in till the bitter end.
Several children including DD are on limited subjects. Unless I've wildly misunderstood they have to be in until the very last exam.
DDs last exam is on the 14th according to her timetable. So some poor sod is going to have a week of the sen kids who have finished all their exams , don't want to be there and have to try and crowd control.
