Anyone done this and not regretted it??

Feel like I need to get off the rollercoaster I'm on but concerned about their not being enough supply work out there?

Full time class teacher and only Deputy in school is killing me.....

Crikey that’s a bit drastic. Can you look for another deputy position that comes with time to do it? Or just drop to class teacher?

I’m assuming you’re primary, I have a friend who is primary supply and gets plenty of work but it probably depends on your area.

I agree, how about looking for a bigger school advertising for non-teaching, or much less teaching, Deputy?

I changed schools and dropped back to class teacher 5 years ago. No regrets. I needed the financial stability too much to do supply but something had to give before I did!
Good luck

Thank you for your replies. I resigned my deputyship as over 31 August and will drop to class teacher with tlr - am primary.
I don't think supply would be enough financially but I have applied for a non teaching deputy role as suggested in a bigger school.

Fingers crossed!!
