Are any of you part time SLT?

I very never see part time leadership jobs advertised, have any of you successfully applied for a part time leadership position?

It seems to feel like if you want to change schools you have to go back to full time, which I really don’t want to do. 0.8 is such a good work life balance for me, but it feels like I have to stay where I am.

I'mnot, but our assistant head for inclusion is 4 days a week.

Left teaching last year but the school has one DH 4 days a week and one AH 3 days. The other SLT staff were full time (one deputy and 4 assistants)

I have never ever seen a part time leadership post advertised. They always seem to come about from a full time person who has then gone on maternity leave and come back part time-retaining the position.

They are almost never advertised; you have to enquire if they would consider an application to work 0.8 when you see a vacancy you like. There are some SLT portfolios which I don't think can be done PT, however - especially behaviour.

I'm not SLT but I am a part time Lead Practitioner. I did work at my school for some years before going on maternity leave, so I was able to ask for this upon my return.
