Sick pay

I can't ask my school directly as there are lots of politics involved so was wondering if I could hear from a few of you to see what the norm is.

I am pregnant and currently signed off for another 2 weeks with hyperemesis, so this will be 8 weeks off now.

Does anyone know how much sick leave we get on full pay? I have 8 yrs continuous service. It makes no difference to returning to work as I currently cannot work but I need to know for budgeting if I'm likely to be taking a financial hit soon.

I'm not an expert by any means, but I thought it was 6 months full pay, and then 6 months half pay. Used to be, anyway, unless they've changed things.

Six months full pay, six months half pay and anything pregnancy related cannot count towards absence triggers. If you are ill with anything pregnancy related within four weeks of your due date then they can insist you start your maternity leave then, but not before.

6 months full pay. Unless it is an academy or private school.

It's 100 days full pay in any rolling 12 month period and then 100 days on half pay. I deal in this all the time.

100 days are working days. So it equates to approximately 6 months.
