It's awful to see the reality of kids who no one really cares about. As i left for the w end today I got involved in an awful situation with a CIC who's placement had broken down. He was restrained. Police called. Just so upsetting to see. It's often a friday/xmas/summer. School offers them so much support and stability but we're not 24 hours. Made me sad 😣
This is the hardest part of the job, for me at least. To be fair for us not CIC (who are generally in a safer place), but the kids in crisis who probably should be removed. I find it quite hard emotionally, especially when managements priorities are not matching with the best interests of the child.
