Has anyone else had a PM to join this site?

You can leave anonymous reviews of your school but you have to sign in with a school email address Hmm

You had a PM on Mumsnet about joining?

Report
TheSnowFairy · 07/10/2017 16:36

Yep.

'I saw your post on the mumsnet staffroom... It's called secret staffroom - www.secretstaffroom . com - and it lets teachers post anonymous reviews of their school.'

I've just checked my inbox - I've had a pm too.

Honestly ... it's a bit of a reminder that all sorts of people read MN, isn't it?

Innit though, cat!

I've had that pm too. I mean if you wanted to review your school on line it would have to be positive, otherwise it could be a sackable offence. If want to read positive reviews of schools just go their websites, Weird.

I got one too. Not very secret when my school is so small. Anyone had a look?

Report
Bobbiepin · 07/10/2017 17:47

I got one too. Would never be so stupid as to slag my employer off online especially if my school and I am identifiable. Stupid really.... DM trap?

Report
TheSnowFairy · 07/10/2017 18:01

You need to log in with either school email address or school ID so no, I haven't!

This sounds like the sort of thing a massively disgruntled employee who didn't GAF would do - not so great for anyone else...

Yes, I got that pm too. Not going to happen. Why would anyone publicly rate their own school?

Report
DonkeyOaty · 07/10/2017 18:06

Quite.

We'll see what HQ makes of this in due course.

It's American, too. Odd.

Wasn’t there a thread recently along the lines of teacher roll call? It’s pretty clearly a site trying to get views/clicks/users or whatever for advertising. But yes, a reminder that no matter how innocently a thread may have been started, you never know who’s reading.

I don't agree with sites like that or ratemyteacher etx.

All a bit 'somewhere cowardly pissed off people go to anonymously slag people off with no repercussions'

I've had a PM. Not happy about it.
