Anyone else feeling like this? 20 years in and really want out now. Time to look for another job outside of teaching, I think. Sad

I feel the same. I find it so stressful; all of the constant judgements and having to prove my worth. Don't know what else I could do though...

Try supply if you can afford the erratic nature of the business. I did, after 30 years.
All the fun; none of the politics, paperwork, pressure or pupil performance payment by results. If you are in a horrible school for whatever reason, you aren't trapped.

Sorry you are feeling this waySad

Is it teaching generally or would trying another school help?

There are options outside of teaching so don't despair. I know someone who left and went into a civil service job - I never would have thought of that so it's worth thinking outside the box when looking.

Remember, you can always leave at Christmas - you're not stuck all year.

If I could afford it then I wouldn't be going back. I adore my job in so many ways but feel worn down by the outside of work hours work! I always feel like I have a full time day job plus an evening job. :-(
