A position is advertised at 21 hrs pw (term time only) and the annual salary is £7,600

What is the hourly rate?

I got £9.80 confused

uncoolnn Tue 16-May-17 20:53:02

Ah ignore that. £9.27?

tissuesosoft Tue 16-May-17 20:53:16

salarycalculator.co.uk says it's £633.33 a month based on 1100L tax code with no other deductions. Not sure about hourly! I'll have a look now

tissuesosoft Tue 16-May-17 20:55:43

Based on a normal working job it's £3.65 an hour without term time only. With term time I worked out £9.27 as well

NickMyLipple Tue 16-May-17 20:56:25

I got £9.27...

7600 ÷ 39 = 194.87
194.87 ÷ 21 = 9.27

I am not a maths person..

I got £9.52. 7600 by 38 by 21??

McDougal Tue 16-May-17 20:58:13

Ignore mine. I'd go with Nick

I got £8.04 per hour. That's based on you being paid for 45 weeks each year.

I could be wrong though. Any pro-rata pros around?

ChickenBhuna Tue 16-May-17 21:01:17

45 hours is what I am paid for , 38 weeks of term plus any holiday pay. I think that's the norm for term time contracts.

ChickenBhuna Tue 16-May-17 21:01:48

Not hours , weeks. Sorry.

Steinbeck Tue 16-May-17 21:12:11

Thank you everyone!

Sorry for duplicate thread! 🙄

Chickenbhuna, my last calculation gave me £8.04
