Paying back maternity pay

Has anyone not gone back to work after maternity leave? I'm planning not to and I know I'll have to pay back some of my mat pay but does anyone know how much this is as a figure? I know it's 12 weeks at 50% but I find my pay slips really confusing to work this out and what about tax? I'm .6 on UPS 3 so my gross salary is about 22k Thanks.

I think it's different for every employer, with mine we pay back the enhanced pay back which was only for 3months

I decided not to go back after my first maternity leave. My school calculated how much I needed to pay back, I think it was just the 12 weeks half pay like you say.

You will have accrued annual leave while you were off on maternity leave, so make sure they take this into account. I was told I'd have to pay back around 3k but it dropped to around 1k once they'd worked it out properly.

Thank you. I've heard the 1k figure from someone else as well as they have to take into account annual leave. Let's hope that's all it is
