Quick job hunting job question

Hi I've just come back from a visit to a school before applying for a science job there. I totally loved the school and really would like to work there.
Do people normally e-mail to thank schools for pre-application visits or is it seen as sucking up too much? Not sure what to do..........

No don't do it. Apply for the job and I hope you do well. Save you 'sucking up' for the 'why did you apply for the job' question.

MKe reference to your visit on your letter of application. Works best when you put it in 'summing up' paragraph at the end

You could always start your application letter with 'Thank you for making me so welcome when I visited your school last week. I was really interested to see..."
