Ah stressful! Why would there have been dvds?

Run up to christmas does involve watching dvds sometimes, doesn't it?

We don't break up until next Wednesday. I will be breaking out Muppets Christmas Carol in my penultimate year 7 lesson. We're working on Christmas Carol and they will do a piece of writing on it. There's a place for DVDs sometimes.

We don't break up until mid next week here so just assumed it's a normal week I guess.

At least it'll be over with soon. But I do feel sorry for you!
What a ridiculous and patronising question above 'Why would there be DVDs?'. Almost all of us will have known exactly what you meant in your OP!
Let us know later how it went.

"Why would there be dvds?"

Best week of the year the one before Xmas. Movies, Carol concerts, parties. Awesome week from what I remember and I hope.my little one watches the odd dvd at the end of the term too.

"It's a normal week" ha, someone should tell the pupils that, they're high as kites.

Oh dear god what a week for offsets! Good luck 😊

Ridiculous and patronising

Ha yes, for daring to ask a question.

Report
Expellibramus · 14/12/2016 07:18

Also I don't remember saying they shouldn't, just wasn't aware it would be a daily thing at this stage with a week left to go.

Report
NapQueen · 14/12/2016 07:22

Who said it would be daily?

Report
Expellibramus · 14/12/2016 07:24

So it isn't? That's great then.

Report
Expellibramus · 14/12/2016 07:26

I have nothing against TV, but like I said, surprised if it would be daily at this stage but perhaps it isn't.

Ah, are you in Hsmpshire?

My son's school is being Ofstetted today

DS said normally they just watch movies/colour in/secret santa/school concerts in the last week.

DD (8) said the best bit about school today was watching some of the film of Alice in Wonderland (not the Christmas lunch, the Christmas jumper, the choir practice...)!

Their topic theme is potions so I like to think Ofsted would have seen it in a positive light, had they been in today (Xmas Wink).

Good luck op Xmas Smile

they're not the Spanish Inquisition.

But wouldn't it be much more fun if they turned up dressed in Monty Python Spanish Inquisition costumes. It should be a law.

We don't break up till Friday next week and there is a rule of no DVDs/quizzes etc. Until the last day. Kids are in the ceiling already.

Finished today, hurrah, but Ofsted very likely to be in early next year, so that's a Christmas of marking, planning and worrying. This afternoon I made my year 7s do a normal lesson as they had work to finish. They seemed to be more than happy to do this. Grin. I hope it went well for you.

Ofsted were in this week at my school. I'm shattered but glad it's over and done with.
