I am due to have a meeting about a child I support with SEN. I have been asked to bring his target tracker results with me. I have been given these by the teacher, but with no explanation about what it means that is a whole other thread I am pissed off about. Can anyone help or send links. The child is at 1b for writing, 2w+ for writing and 2s+ for Maths. I've tried looking online.

Are they in year 2?

PM me if you like. We use Target Tracker.

No he's in Y4, but statemented. It's his annual review. I have all his books, so his learning can be seen. He has the year 4 bands in his books. I will be chatting to the SENCo about it on Weds. I have parents evening for my ds soon, but will be back later!

I don't know target tracker specifically, but often with tracking systems, a w stands for working towards, s is secure. B could be below. The numbers would be year groups I imagine. So could be he is a bit ahead of a very good Y2 in maths for example.

B is beginning
W is working within
S is secure.

Within each band there are 6 steps.
b, b+, w, w+, s, s+

The number refers to the age group so the child is working at the level of a year 1 in writing and within the y2 band for reading/maths.
