Not sure posting on a public forum is the way forward confused
Ask a colleague to observe and advise?

Talk to your line manager?

Sounds very attention seeking.

Positive praise for everything done right, set her up to do things right and get a sticker. Get her to want the positive attention

What is it with the paranoia over posting completely anonymous details?!

Agree with positive reinforcement.

Is this a thread about a thread? The one where the mum was cross the teacher had been sharp with her DD when she asked "where's my jumper?"

People often do post here for advice. Don't see a problem with it. seems a useful way to get opinions.

'Who's sat really nicely facing his way? Well done X, Y, and Z. ' ignoring problem child running around. 'So impressed with X, Y and Z right now, you can have sticker/reward.' Hopefully lack of attention for negative and seeing others getting all the praise, might copy. First time she gets anything right, shower her in attention.

Did you read the other thread pepper? It's a huge coincidence.

A yes to the positive reinforcement-for her when she does what she's told and for the rest of the class who are doing the right thing while she isn't.
Eg. In a group work situation: 'Ooh-a sticker for you, you and you for starting so fast. Well done.' Ignore X til she joins, then praise big time.
Good luck! I reached threadbare a week ago-coming through now...
