PGCE in SCITT interview advice please!

Right, well I put in my applications yesterday for my PGCE (Primary) and I got an email back this morning to offer me an interview for a week's time!
Basically I have no idea what will be expected, or really even what I should wear. I'm hoping I can get a bit of advice on this?
Obviously I need to dress smart, but since it's at a SCITT and for primary do I need to go the full business wear or would I be fine in a plain dress/top and skirt?
I know I'll get an email out explaining what will happen and what things I'll need to do, but does anyone have any general advice? I work with kids in my current job so at least I've got some ideas about things, but I just feel very unprepared for an interview in a week's time.

Hi,
I'm applying for a SCITT too, interviews next week. I've bought a pinifore from newlook with a white chiffron top underneath - i've looked round the school (primary) and it seems too casual to wear business dress.
From what i've read online etc, you will normally be asked about current issues in education and also maybe to prepare and deliver a lesson plan.
Good luck!

Thanks!
I went to White Stuff in the end and bought a couple of nice dresses. Mine are next week too. Definitely nervous!

I trained via SCITT last year, albeit in Secondary.
I was told an obvious passion for subject and for working with children was most importance (subject not so relevant for Primary though I suppose?).
Read up on any changes to curriculum/levels/policy changes.

Smile, they will expect nerves, my left leg shook throughout and I fluffed some answers. Don't let it phase you. You'll be fab.

Hello,
I am a zoology graduate and have been working as a TA for 8 weeks and I am looking to start a PGCE next September.
I have been invited to attend an interview for SCITT (secondary) and the activity (15 minutes) states I will be presenting to a mixed ability group to review teaching and learning within the school context, designed to engage students in a discussion about teaching and learning in a secondary school. I understand its asking for pupils views on teaching ect however, I wondered if anyone had any advice on how to make the activity fun and engaging? Any ideas will be greatly received :-)

Thank you
