Please talk to me - I am planning to look for jobs Indy school and put my DC there ( primary) . Has anybody done it? Is it a good plan? What pros/ cons? Thank you!

Pros -
Reduced fees (usually)
No additional school runs
Longer holidays for all of you

Cons -
Having to have parents' meetings with colleagues
What if you leave - will your children have to move too?
Your children feeling you are in "their" space
Longer school day for you, and therefore, your children

My question to you is - are you looking for a job in an independent school just so you can move your children there, or are you looking for a job in an independent school because you want to work in an independent school?

I'm a teacher, and wouldn't put my children in the same school. I think that children need the opportunity to develop and grow without having their parents around them all the time.
