I am working on Wednesday as I am not a member of NUT. I am HOD and the rest of my department are NUT, so I am not expecting them to be at school on Wednesday. School is partially open, so my question is will I be expected to cover my staff? Will I need to set cover?

You cannot be asked to cover for staff who are striking, nor should the school be bringing anyone in to cover for striking colleagues. Their classes should be cancelled, and the children sent home if necessary.

If you are a member if another union, follow their advice. If you are not a member, consider joining online tomorrow - any of the unions.

I'm SLT and not in NUT. I'm in AMiE which is part of ATL. Their advice is vv clear.

If you are not in a union, it is much easier for an unsupportive Head to give you certain directions iirc.
