If you have children, how do YOU get a day off?!

I'm shattered! I need a day to myself and I don't know how to achieve it. DD is 11.7 and too old for kids' holiday clubs. DH works full-time and takes time off for family holidays and Inset days. No grandparents nearby.

Otherwise, it's me and her full-on every day! Help!

Surely an 11 and a 1/2 yr old entertains themselves ? confused

If they were 2, then fair enough, but at that age they don't really need 'looking after' all day.

Mostly she does, Back, but she's in this weird clingy mood these days. confused Wants to be practically on top of me, won't leave me alone!

I don't know any of her friends' parents as we haven't lived here long, but I'll get her to subtly scout around. smile

I'm only off tomorrow then back to school on Tuesday - I need to come up with a plan for Easter!

Ha ha (hollow laugh) I don't.

And every half term and hols a million relatives and friends descend as well.

Is half term this week, we had 9 here over the weekend (5 guests) and frOm now to Friday we have 3 guests.

I might move and leave no forwarding address.....
