New school year (sorry, a bit late for colleagues in Scotland), so I wondered who was out there? (Shameless attempt at being nosy)

I teach upper KS2 in Suffolk. I am also the maths co-ordinator and SENCO.

I really hope your theory of impeding doom about new starters is wrong. I've had two new arrivals announced in two days and still have spaces when other schools around are full.

Now nervous Year 1 teacher in Yorkshire.

dragonboobs you must be near me. We have our first Year 6s this term too. They seem more settled now than they did in Year 5- thank goodness!

Currently on a career break but looking forward to getting back to it in 18 months or so. Was HOD (PE), then HOY and switched subjects to English and RE. Various other roles along the way.
