Advice for January GTP

Hi, wondered if anyone can give me advice. So started GTP in Jan so will finish in December. I'm getting confused about jobs. I work alongside another GTP who started in September. She already has put her application in the NQT pool, and getting interviews and current schooltalking about employing her in September.

But not too sure where that leaves me as I do not qualify until Dec. I am speaking to my mentor about this tomorrow anyway, see what she says, but wondered if anybody has been in this position.

You can apply for jobs in the autumn term to start in January. People do leave at Christmas, go on maternity leave etc.
