Those little things you've always wondered about the Royal family

Do the royals watch programmes about themselves.
If a senior royal suspects she's pregnant, who does she ask to get a pregnancy test? (Not sure why I wonder this)
Do they have a GP or a royal doctor. How to they go about seeing them.
Do they have security at the school where Prince George and Princess Charlotte go?
How do they employ staff and ensure they don't divulge information outside of their job.

Most importantly does someone really keep the toilet seat warm for the queen?? Grin

I've always assumed the school would have security, although not just for the Royal kids, I imagine that if you can afford the ££££ fees your kid is a potential kidnap target.

My daft one is do they ever make themselves coffee?

I imagine being a Royal and having privacy rethings like pregnancy tests and sanitary towels are quiet hard. But then maybe they have a store in the palace on a help yourself basis.

I wonder how they know their friends are really their friends or just pretend to be because of who they are.

I wonder how they know that about girlfriends/boyfriends also.

I want to know if they ever sit around in thr PJ'S at home. If they ever 'switch off' and snuggle up on sofa watching mindless stuff. If they get a craving at 2am for junk food can they help themselves or do they have to call someone? If they clean the bath after themselves?

Friends I imagine will mainly be school and forces friends who are drawn together and have stood the distance.

Relationships very difficult.
Peter Phillip's wife (yes I know they are separated) found out his connections from the telly after they'd been going out 6 weeks. She was watching a programme about Williams 21st and recognised Peter.

That's interesting. I guess he knew that she really liked him for who he was if he didn't say right away. Sad they've split up.

I reckon the young royals are very normal when it comes to things like that. Do you think Kate and William have have cook?

I assume they have mobiles, but who do they trust to have their private numbers?
How do George and Charlotte go to birthday parties?
How do they order takeaways?

Does HM wipe one’s own bottom?

A toilet seat warmed by someone else is surely the opposite of luxury. Yeuch.

I doubt they’re eating junk food at 2am looking at them. I always assumed that their ttc would have had very close involvement from staff (doctors, press people etc).

Have they watched The Windsors?
It The Crown?
Does Charles have someone to squeeze his toothpaste for him?
Do any of them empty their own dishwashers? I think about this almost daily as I unload mine

Report
DarcyLewis · 06/05/2021 17:55

They’ll have staffed households eg nannies, housekeepers, cooks, gardeners. They won’t need to make their own coffee or unload dishwashers unless they really want to.

Disclaimer what would I know?!
My guess is...
Maybe they test friendships by leaking false information to see if it is shared? I suspect their friendship groups are very small and very long term.
Most of the royal women look like they never ever have cravings at 2am for junk food!Grin I'm sure I remember reading that Diana used to go down to the kitchen to either help herself or chat to the staff.
I thought there was a Royal Dr , so maybe you have access whenever you need it? I just imagine you take their number and call Dr Doodah on an on call basis?
I'd assume royal children have security officers discreetly guarding classrooms rather than school providing it.
I don't believe anyone dating someone in the royal family doesn't know who they are dating and hasn't had a sneaky google/checked social media information/put 2+2 together due to houses etc, so I don't buy that wide eyed didn't know who you were stuff!
I know for sure staff are gagged with a non disclosure agreement (friend's husband used to work at Clarence House.)
I'd love to know if they watch those tv programmes about themselves and also if they moan about other family members to each other!

I do wonder what their daily lives are like, most covered on here. How regimented are their normal lives? Do they ever just run out of socks because they cba-ed to pair them

Like a previous poster I too wondered today if they load/unload their own dishwashers when their staff are off duty. For some reason I can see them being willing to tidy a kitchen but not doing their own laundry. Do they have their own individual family kitchens as well as the larger palace kitchens?

I know from leaked news snippets that Kate was often seen on the local high street and I used to imagine her nipping into Boots for toothpaste and cotton wool. For items like pregnancy tests etc I suppose they really do have to rely on the discretion of their staff.

I often wonder if they own a very non-descript car or people carrier with blacked-out windows so that they can get to places incognito.

I suspect there's no additional security at the school for George and Charlotte. Even normal schools are pretty secure. I can only imagine top fancy Ines are more secure as they may have foreign royals, kids of ambassadors, politicians etc.

I always wonder if they all just pop round each others for a natter and a cup of tea, like you would a normal family.

I wonder what the kids all get for their birthdays/Christmas etc. Seems like a real PITA? Considering they'd get sent so much stuff. I wonder if the kids appreciate their stuff?

I wonder if they're jealous of a us, because we can just nip to Tesco, or go out to the pub with our mates,or go swimming or whatever without worrying about photographers etc.

@MattyGroves

Do they have a family WhatsApp group and if so, what's said on it?

Apparently there is a 'cousins' Whatsapp group - Eugenie, Beatrice, Zara etc. Wonder if Harry is still part of it? Grin
