Just that really. Is there any point attempting to discuss this issue?
And don’t bother posting ‘yawn’ or ‘trot on’; you don’t have to read threads if they don’t interest you.

I imagine so. I followed the link in the night and watched the full two hours. It's all been deleted now so I'm glad I did.

Ooooh please share the link again

The thing is that these threads always descend into nastiness.

At the end of the day no-one knows the truth apart from the people involved. The tabloids spew crap about people all the time, the gossip sites make up their own stories, H and M say something else, given that none of us were there I’m not even sure it’s possible to have a rational opinion.

Report
Knitterbabe · 08/03/2021 10:27

So are we not allowed to discuss it?

Probably

As it drags in the racist posters when they have had enough from posting on particular news sights that not allows allows racist post to stand but actively encourages it

Yes they probably will!
I remember the thread in 2018 saying that Meghan and Harry had already got married a few days before the Windsor wedding.
That was soon pulled. Nobody believed it and the vitriol people were spouting towards the OP for telling ‘lies’ was terrible.

Would witnesses not be needed for a legal wedding?

I think there should be one thread and not eleventy billion all frothing away.

That. It's bizarre the way people post their opinion as fact, with such certainty about it all.

To be honest I hope MN does pull all the threads. Simply because I'm already sick of the wall to wall coverage. This whole thing is going to be impossible to escape. I've given up on TV and radio today, and it's going to be hard to even find a corner of the internet to escape it.

I hope they are, tbh. Yes, I know I needn't click on them, but I do and then I end up depressed and frustrated.

Why doesn't MN delete any racist posts rather than whole threads?

Yep. I can understand why, they get heated very quick.

@Knitterbabe

Would witnesses not be needed for a legal wedding?

Yes. 2 witnesses, and you can't just marry anywhere in this country- even if the person doing the marrying is the Archbishop of Canterbury. It wasn't a legal wedding.
Report
OhWhyNot · 08/03/2021 11:16

Probably because there are so many of them

It’s not a discussion about racism it becomes a thread to make racist comments (for some posters)

There is a difference.

There is a private chapel in Windsor Castle and the Archbishop of Canterbury is able to perform weddings so poshme ye talk shite hen.

Report
poshme · 08/03/2021 11:20

They said they got married in the garden where they were living. With only the 3 of them there.

That isn't possible.

If they'd got married in the Windsor chapel, with a couple of witnesses- then yes they could've had a private ceremony first.

Report
poshme · 08/03/2021 11:21

The ABC is only licensed to perform weddings in certain places. That won't include gardens.

Apart from the racism accusation I'm not sure any part of their interview was "shocking" as is being reported. She was desperate to have a dig at Kate "I thought she'd want to do the right thing she's a good person" backhanded compliment. Harry desperate to slate his dad and brother obviously as he always does but they say they love the queen. They know to disrespect her would be a huge mistake. So when they say "the firm" repeatedly who are they trying to get at exactly?

This thread and all others will probably end up being deleted. There will be racist posts (which are disgusting), which will bury any sensible ones. Anyone who dares to suggest that is possible for Meghan to have been the victim of racism AND for her to have made bad decisions is shot down by one of her supporters (like the one who followed me around the site accusing me of being a bully because I said I ‘wasn’t a fan’ of the Sussexes.)

Harry & Meghan speaking about THEIR experiences and answering the questions asked, is proof of how 'desperate' they are to have digs at individual members of the RF???

It's thoughtless, baseless, heavily biased comments like this plus the racism why threads get deleted.
