So the saga continues
Thé Canadians are not happy about paying for the Sussexes security

I think that will be their downfall. They can’t actually fund the cost of their «freedom»
Other security experts saying that the cost of 24/7 private security is about £4million per year.

Problem is; they have skipped the a Royal fold, and have to pay the real cost of their security and accommodation . They will have to sell every aspect of their Lives to fund this.

I do think all the freebies have given them false expectations. Once they're out and not "victims" anymore I suspect their wealthy buddies will tire rather quickly of providing support.

I do think Harry will miss it. I don't think he hates us. I think he just believes he does at the minute.

I was just thinking earlier of that episode of DIY SOS with...all slightly awkward banter with the builders and having a bit of a go with it all. I watched that with my ILs who are big royalists and I remember really enjoying it and thinking that they seemed like really nice men and seemed so happy to be there, helping out, meeting people and doing something wonderful for an ordinary family. I think it was the first time I really felt like the RF might have a place as my parents are republicans and just hate them all. Just seems quite sad now. I really don't believe that a life of celebrity is what Harry wants. I know it's been mentioned before but he really sounded like he thought they might move to Africa. I'm certain he's been played here.

Saw Trudeau interviewed on the news this morning - he was quite clearly saying "We are chuffed that they want to live in Canada and we'd love to have them. But we're not paying for it".

And that's fair enough.

Yes, fair enough, neither country’s taxpayers should pay!

Article in Times says annual security for all the royals requires 450-500 officers to be trained. Not cheap!

Yeah, they've managed to ride the wave of all this attention but we know that Harry isn't the sharpest tool and I also suspect from her writing that she's bright but not super clever. There's no way they'll be able to compete or just to exist within the sphere of the Obamas and the Clooneys who are genuinely intelligent people. They'll be hangers on but I think they think they'll be in the same world.

I would be utterly terrified form a security point of view if I were them. Harry and Archie's status as members of the RF must make them huge targets for various terrorist organisations plus other line fanatics. They can't just pull in security from the local Thugs R Us outfit can they? How many people will they need to provide round the clock security for 3 of them and their house and presumably these people need to be armed? Is that allowed in Canada? Can private citizens carry guns?

They also have no where near as much money as the Obamas and Clooneys.

Personally I’d give it six months, PH won’t be able to stay away from his family for longer than. He needs his support unit around him and I don’t think she is going to support him

Does Harry really want a life geared to flogging tacky "sussex royal" goods to Americans?

Well she’s got PH over a barrel hasn’t she? Archie is her pawn. She won’t go quietly.

Yup. I fully understand their want to be independent but they must be just that independent. What they actually want is Co dependence.

And that's how it should be. If a couple want to emigrate they have to be able to cover the costs of their lifestyle.
