‘Rural rivals’ is journalist code for ‘wife vs OW’ apparently. Has William been playing away?

beanaseireann Fri 26-Apr-19 14:31:58

If true it's very sad.

Hepzibar Thu 25-Apr-19 20:54:27

This is gaining credence. PW affair trending on Twitter.

KitNCaboodle Sat 20-Apr-19 23:20:41

Oh Rage, that’s whet my appetite but alas only one paragraph for this pleb too.

HowlsMovingBungalow Thu 11-Apr-19 18:19:23

Yup and he then deleted his tweet although he is known to be a goady mouthy twat on twitter.

NicoAndTheNiners Thu 11-Apr-19 18:14:49

That twitter thread is fab. So Giles Coren says it's all true?

HowlsMovingBungalow Thu 11-Apr-19 18:14:41

Giles Coren is another member of the Soho Private Club... he was at the opening party of Soho Amsterdam with various 'slebs' and Harry and Meghan.

There were news reports today of legal action against any UK press publishing rumours about the 'royal affair'.

nikita tis about turnip toffs but me, being a pleb, cannot access it without a sodding subscription.

Someone on another thread on Mumsnet said R's dh was playing away.
Perhaps W was getting too sympathetic, so K put a stop to their close relationship ?
I've seen Mumsnetters post how their dhs have been helping women going through relationship problems and then getting romantically involved with the distressed woman or fearful their dh might be drawn in.
A friendly shoulder to cry on then escalates...

Rainbunny Thu 11-Apr-19 17:45:55

I generally think the stories about it are all nonsense but then Giles Coren (Times journalist) sent a rather direct tweet on the subject (confirming the rumour) which he swiftly deleted. Odd thing for a posh food critic at the Times to bother to tweet though. So the Royals are human and imperfect.

My own (based on nothing!) opinion is that he perhaps developed an embarrassingly obvious crush on this woman and so Kate has stopped them socialising in her company and the gossip spiraled from there.

tenbob, which Sophia Money-Coutts article?

And who is 'PW'? and is 'PC' Prince Charles? <<mind boggles if so>>

KingHenrysCodpiece Mon 01-Apr-19 13:44:05

Not funny at all. I really sincerely hope William doesn't have a mistress that would be horrible, I wouldn't wish that on anyone. I would hope he'd see what it did to his parents marriage and his mother especially and keep it in his trousers.

noodlenosefraggle Sat 30-Mar-19 15:32:08

I find quite a lot of the April Fools blinds horrible. Some rumours they have made up and then explained away as April Fools have been really awful and not funny in the least.

SaveKevin Sat 30-Mar-19 10:02:45

I don’t believe it. If it’s an April fools it’s awful.
I don’t know them and I’ve never met anyone who does. So my basis for not believing it is complete bollocks. However, I don’t believe it grin.

noodlenosefraggle Sat 30-Mar-19 09:57:09

It was ages ago. The point I was making was that the previous story was clearly made up by the Harry Stans and racists who hate MM, so the story about her baby being PW's is probably just an extension of that, and an easy one to make up conflating several pieces of gossip into one.

Bowchicawowow Sat 30-Mar-19 09:54:08

I that's an April Fool noodle.

noodlenosefraggle Sat 30-Mar-19 09:49:33

I thought according to some other gossip thread that MM's baby was meant to be PC's and she was plotting with him for their baby to be next in line? I think Wills is too dull to have an affair.

Bowchicawowow Sat 30-Mar-19 09:45:30

If it is true I feel incredibly sorry for her. She hasn't put a foot wrong and seems like a good mother. Her family have given him a more stable experience of family life. She has just had a baby and she must be in complete agony.

BettyBooJustDoinTheDoo Sat 30-Mar-19 02:06:14

If your average blokes on the street who have perfectly lovely wives and children at home have affairs then the likelihood that a pampered multi millionaire Prince and heir to the British throne, who has been bowed and scrapped to his whole life, who is probably surrounded by sycophants and adoring glamorous women who hang onto his every word is probably quite likely to feel they can have affairs/flings with other women, I don’t doubt for a minute he adores Kate and the children but I could quite imagine him going down that road like his ancestors. And no way would Kate walk away from her marriage because of a fling or an affair, she is their until death them do part, no way is she going to end up like Sarah or Diana.

thesurreyyouth Fri 29-Mar-19 22:16:18

I agree I thought it distasteful to make an April fools joke suggesting MM & PW had an affair resulting in pregnancy. Not funny.

poseybobblehat Fri 29-Mar-19 22:12:34

They have 2 threads going

Bowchicawowow Fri 29-Mar-19 22:11:24

The Blind Gossip story says MM's baby is PW's. If that's an April Fool it's horrible.

poseybobblehat Fri 29-Mar-19 22:10:56

The first thread is called 'dust ups'

poseybobblehat Fri 29-Mar-19 22:09:54

Blind gossip have a second thread on this going, but pretty sure that one is an April fool !

BlytheofWindyWillows Fri 29-Mar-19 22:09:35

Agree with surrey, this is BG's April Fools story.
