The royal family

Have you seen the pictures of Kate and William at the train station?

Because the baby is not on the train with them, it is being assumed they didn't take him on their latest holiday. How would anyone know if the baby was left in Kensington or if the baby travelled back to London in a car?

Does it matter who was talking care of a couple's child when they go for a weekend away (red tops reporting brief trip to Norfolk, where they might be moving to).

It's not likely he was left with someone inappropriate, is it?

YorkshireTeaGold · 31/08/2014 20:07

Well it's not a massive leap when they leave him to go on hols etc.

Why would they not travel in a car with him if that was the case?

YorkshireTeaGold · 31/08/2014 20:08

They were in norfolk for the weekend. Hardly brief.

Floundering · 31/08/2014 20:11

Probably nanny, bodyguard & George went back by car so he'd nap in his comfy seat.

Very sensible.

....and with the increased security alerts more anonymous I'd have thought

Blu · 31/08/2014 20:12

What on earth is this about?

A one year old (how old is he. 14m? ) left with granny for the weekend? Or what

Bartlebee · 31/08/2014 20:18

I am not a royal fans by any stretch, but I like how 'normal' and unfussy they seem - both lugging big holdalls.

Unlike Victoria Beckham who this weekend swaggered through the airport (having alerted the paps) without so much as a handbag to spoil her ridiculous posing.

Rosa · 31/08/2014 20:24

How do we know where the baby is any day and to be honest is it your business to know anyway. ?
I know where my children are so one would presume that they know where the baby is as well no?????

3stripesandout · 31/08/2014 20:26

Apparently it was two weeks, not a weekend.

Meh, they never take the kid with them. The dog on the other hand Hmm

MaryWestmacott · 31/08/2014 20:30

Aren't there rules about how many royals in line to the throne can travel together on public transport? (So often they don't fly together).

Anyway, even if It was a 2 week holiday, doesn't mean he wasn't with them for the bulk of it, sending George home a couple of days early with the nanny seems rather sensible...

Bowlersarm · 31/08/2014 20:31
Confused
hollie84 · 31/08/2014 20:34

Are they supposed to have the baby with them at all times then?

I'm not sure that's how the upper classes operate.

ohbladee · 31/08/2014 20:39

They carried some bags. Big deal.

BettyBotter · 31/08/2014 20:47

Again - also posted on TAAT - the baby was there in Norfolk too. Obviously driven with nanny to their little country place.

thenightsky · 31/08/2014 20:48

they on hols again? Lucky buggers.

LalyRawr · 31/08/2014 20:54

Are we not allowed to be without our children then? Didn't realise laws had changed to make it illegal to not have your child permanently attached to you.

Must cancel that weekend away.

mumblechum1 · 31/08/2014 20:57

Nothing wrong with leaving a 14 month old for a weekend with granny, surely?

YorkshireTeaGold · 31/08/2014 21:49

Yeah, I guess you don't know who to believe as the mail said he'd spent the weekend with his nanny.

No, it's not illegal to spend time dc free but they do seem to quite a lot! I have a similar age dd and just couldn't do it as much as they do...

Makes me laugh how much of the coverage says that they need time alone as tgyre "trying for dc2"!!!! Yet somehow we managed to fit in a shag whilst having other Dcs.

If I read i right, it was pondering if it was unreasonable for recognisable VVIPs to use public transport (where they might be photographed and pix published) whilst the national state of terror alert is substantial.

Link fail! I'll try again:

Love those people saying they spend "a lot" of time away from their son.

We see few photos of these two apart from when they are on official engagements, which clearly arent always childfriendly (I dont take my dc to work either so dont judge them for not taking theirs). They have seven days in a week just like us mere mortals, and we get a snapshot of two hours a week or some other very low number and, because they are child free, it is inferred that they "never spend time with their child".

YorkshireTeaGold · 01/09/2014 22:16

Did you miss the story when they went for a weeks holiday without him when he wad 10 months?

ThinkIveBeenHacked · 01/09/2014 22:29

No I didnt miss it. I just dont think its pearl clutchy for a couple to have a weeks holiday without their child.

Fair dos, people do it. But that's not "2 hours a week"... A whole week is a lot of time, esp if you're 10 months.

I just can't stand reading about how perfect they are, I'd be pretty perfect too if I had 10 mins to myself.

Tis my own fault for reading the dm website.

OscarWinningActress · 01/09/2014 22:33

Are you allowed to take dogs on the train in the UK then?

YorkshireTeaGold · 01/09/2014 22:36

Well apparently there's one rule for us and one for them Oscar

I'll go to sleep now and stop being bitter. Must find myself a nanny first thing tomorrow!
