Am I the only one blubbering at the Wedding and wondering why?

I don't even know why, I just kept getting overwhelmed! x

I cried at the view going down the Mall with the Lifeguards on the horses and the carriages.

I didn't cry, but thought it was such a lovely moment when the royal couple emmeged onto the balcony and Kate mouthed "oh WOW" when she saw the crowd [cgrin] such a moment for her aswell as the crowd and the people watching.

I shed a little tear when they struck up "I Was Glad" as she walked down the aisle. My whole school sang it at St Paul's when I was 12, trumpets, orchestra and all, and I remember every word. I just love it.

No I admit to welling up a few times, I kept thinking how proud Wills mother would have been of him and how sad that she was not around to meet Catherine and be part of their day

I think I just really like how much they obviously love each other. The little things like the soppy smile Wills got when he first saw Kate, and when they were holding hands in the carriage.

He must miss his Mum so much today x

But I thought the way she was obviously holding very tightly on to her Dad's hand on the walk down the aisle - quite white-knuckled - was very sweet.

I blubbed, mostly because it reminded me of our wedding day 13 years ago. Especially when he turned and told her she looked beautiful. Dh did that to me (am sure he was giving Wills tips beforehand ).

Gah, soppy bugger! Brought a tear to my eye again just typing that.

you arent alone. I started telling dd how I remembered when William and Harry were born and then how they lost their Mum and we've all watched them grow up and now look at them both.
Half way through I got so choked I couldnt speak. No idea why I got so sentimental - really thought I wasnt that bothered by the whole thing!

They are 'our' Royal family. We have watched William grow up so it's natural to feel emotional.

No - not the only one. I'm such a sucker for a wedding. All that hope for the future makes me well up.

I kept getting choked up too when explaining who everyone was to dc. He thought that Carol Middleton was Kate and come to marry the Prince so I explained that no she was Kate's Mum and he said "so where is the Prince's Mum then?" and I had to pause a few seconds before I could answer.

I did too. As has been said I think it's because we've watched them grow up and also because they clearly really love each other. Also the fact that she's an ordinary middle class lass (albeit from an affluent family) marrying the future king gives it a fairytale feel...

I'm in no way a royalist, but watched the wedding from beginning to end and got quite emotional - I suppose it's because I love a wedding and the royal couple were just sooooo lovely

I'm not alone then! I had to take my daughter for a "nappy change" to avoid my republican family seeing me well up and sniffle. Later on it turned out that my Dad had been sniffling too.

I heard that Harry said to Wills, "wait til you see the dress", that made me blub again.

It was the music and the singing. I'm welsh so any rendition of Cwm Rhondda sung by a choir in a cathedral type setting will get me going!
