Well DD's boyfriend actually

Who should they disappoint at Christmas me, who wants needs a cat or DH who doesn't!

Yes I know you shouldn't buy a cat at Christmas - we want a rescue and it would have to be after now! & we are experienced (Siamese) cat owners, I am just bereft that we lost our boy at the end of the summer and DH thinks he isn't ready to love another cat yet

Are they supposed to be buying you a cat? Is that why he put up the poll? I do think it really needs to be a joint decision between you and your husband though.

I have been mumbling/whinging about wanting a cat from soon after we lost him

DH is not quite ready (which I understand but resent)

The christmas present thing is just a joke really; I've asked him who he is more scared of!

I know the feeling. Once you have had an oriental in your heart you can't be without.
We lost our boy last spring and I wanted to look for a cat straightaway. We got a pair of sisters just before Christmas last year. But it was too soon for DH. The girls are perfectly at home and loved, but he is still grieving for the previous cat. But he would rather have cats in the house than not even if he doesn't feel quite the same about these ones just yet..

I’m with your dh. It would be too soon for me too.

My mum died, we are still pretty much shielding

DD and her bf are busy working online

I'm depressed and it's hard right now

Could you do fostering for a cat rescue? You get the cuddles you need a cat gets the environment it needs.
Sometimes fosters fail Wink

There is something so comforting when you know a cat will be there when you wake up

It's 52% to 48% so close.....

I woke up to one of my cats curled up under my chin, purring away.
Good luck with the poll!!
