What is this bald spot?

Hi all - looking for ideas as to what this bald spot on my cats stomach could be. I noticed it the other day and managed to get a photo, there seem to be little brown flecks in the fur around it (grim).

He gets treated with Advocate once a month and I indorex the house regularly. When I look at it closely it also doesn't look like flea dirt.

I'll take him to the vet and see what they think (he'll have to be sedated for them to get a good look!), but do you have any ideas?

Also including a picture that shows his overall floorings!

By floorings of course I meant floofiness!

Does he go outside? There’s probably a batch of white fluff on a fence somewhere if so. We have vet similar on the back of a cat’s neck which went infected and we had to get antibiotics for so keep an eye on it. I ended up thinking it was caused by the flea drop in treatment but never knew. It was a very crisply defined completely bald strip (poor cat)

@Matilda yes he does, and gets in regular face offs with the neighbour cats. I wouldn't be at all surprised if he had got caught on a fence or something. I guess the brown flecks might be dried blood that he hasn't managed to wash off? I'll definitely keep an eye (luckily he spends a lot of time sleeping belly up).

Yes - little bloody pores (poor puss). That’s what blistered on our puss so keep an eye open

He’s superb - is there some Norwegian Forest in there?

Aww thank you so much for the advice @MatildaonaWaltzer. Hopefully it clears up quickly but I'll keep an eagle eye out.

@Lancelottie -- he came from cats protection so no way of knowing, but I suspect there is! That photo isn't his full winter coat yet so you can imagine how fluffy he gets
