Not done any other shopping. But spent a mint on all the cats in my life! At least I have my priorities right!

So what did you get!? (I trust they will come in good sized boxes and wrapped in something crinkly)

I've held off buying the cats presents this year - last year they trashed DDs toy kitchen looking for where I'd hidden their presents 🤣

I’ve bought my visiting ferals an outside kennel with self heating blanket. They already have a doughnut bed and blanket on our back deck. Dh thinks I’m mad.
Sadly I’ve just realised it’s being delivered by DHL - who have failed to successfully deliver a single parcel to us in five years. Stupid amazon prime leading me up the garden path ..

They may be ferals but cats need some warmth and comfort!
I ordered a twin pack of Molly's Mice for our lad-they arrived the other day so put them in a cupboard. I also ordered some for a friend's cats.

Thank you! That’s what I said. I feed them and give them fuss whilst secretly doing the flea and worm treatment. Mrs cat has been spayed. My indoor cats have a really good life - I would love to give these three ferals a nice life too.
I think Dh is being won over - he bought them webbox sticks in the food shopping.

Same here! It's his 1st birthday on Tuesday so he has a new wand with an 8ft ribbon and a chirpy star on it and a Catit Rocket.

His Christmas presents have been delivered as well so they have all been safely stashed so he doesn't sniff them out! :)

My elderly cat is getting a large fluffy donut bed and a new supply of catnip bananas which are her favourite toy. I'll get some loose catnip too.

I'm not getting Haribo anything. He had a kitchen stool the other day because I'm fed up of him sitting on the table watching me cook. It cost £1 from a charity shop.

He had a flapping fish a few months ago, £7.99 that cost me and he detests it.

His favourite toy is a cardboard box with holes punched in it so he can poke his paws out of it.

I was thinking of the flapping fish.

Mr snug outdoor cat kennel has arrived. !!
Mrs cat has already tried it out, sniffed and chose to sit under the car. Blanket and food deployed. Will sit and wait to see which one sets up home in it first.

I've been wondering about those flapping fish. Are they any good?

I'd like to get one of mine a water fountain. He drinks from the tap all the time. The only worry is that we have very hard water so it might block up. Any recommendations?

Silly question - do water fountains have to be plumbed into the mains water? If not - could you use filtered water?

@Bargebill19

We have a catit fountain. It plugs into the mains, you get filters for it as well :)

I would guess you can use any kind of water you want in it :)

Lurkingforawhile · 27/11/2020 17:44

Filters sounds good - any cat bowl is use for their water is covered limescale in a few weeks. I don't want to buy bottled water but I guess we could get a filter jug. Do they get rid of limescale?

Bargebill19 · 27/11/2020 18:11

@Lurkingforawhile I would say they cut it down by 90%. Although I guess it depends on how hard the water already is and how religious you are at changing the filter. (I ended up using one with a digital reminder built in the lid)

Toddler I thought it was but I wasn't the one expected to play with it. You charge it using an usb cable and a zipped bit for cat nip. Haribo's friend Hugo from a few doors down wandered in the house and started to play with it and Haribo looked at him as if he was mad.

My cats love their fountain and the sound is quite relaxing.

The flapping fish made no impact until Big Kitten got a massive shock from one while I was holding him and ripped wolverine chunks out of my arm.

The favourites in this house are the 3-way cat tunnel, the packets of posh feather refills for the wand, boxes (obvz) and their scrunched up tin foil ball.

The PirateCatKing heartily recommends Meowee Catnip Advent calendars. Inside bit is like cat milky bars with catnip.

He found the first one in November and immediately wrapped it in a loving and passionate embrace.

So big softie here got him another for advent proper . And a back up for withdrawal in January.

For Xmas proper he’s got yet another furry blanket coming and a big furry —throne— cushion.

Ha ha! I remember finding the cat stockings I thought I'd hidden so carefully torn open and thoroughly sampled by Dec 1st.
