What do do with my worried girl?

I have a multi cat house and one of my inmates came to me after her owner emigrated and the only place for her was the stables where I kept my horse. She was a very pampered house cat who found the change in her environment absolutely terrifying. So she came to live with me - I can honestly say I've never seen a cat so thankful to see carpets and soft furnishings!
Went through the slow introduction with the others (separate room etc) and all good except one cat wanted to play with her - she wasn't having any of it but all good. She settled well and is a very loving lap cat who just wants to be with you.

2 years on and the "playful" cat just randomly jumps on her, which she reacts very badly too and it clearly really distresses her. She has taken to spending her time upstairs on my bed and just snuggling when I come to bed, which I feel awful about. But she's also started weeing and pooing on my bed - I think she doesn't want to come to the litter tray as he will be in her path.

I am thinking to put a litter tray upstairs but I don't want it on carpet. The only thing I can think off is during the day to put her with litter tray and comfy bed in the bathroom (it's nearly as big as my bedroom) so she can relax and not feel threatened. Then she can come to bed with me at night. But that feels so mean. She has no interest in going outside from October to March!

There is feliway all over the house. The only alternative I can think of is to rehome her to an older person who wants a lap cat. But the thought of letting her go just breaks my heart but things are getting worse not better. I just want her to be happy.

The "playful" cat has another cat he plays with, and there are no issues with scared cat and the others. It's just playful cat (though when she was poorly and hiding who was it that spent 3 days attached to her side looking after her? Yup playful cat. And there are many times I've also found them happily curled up together - it's the jumping on her which is several times a day).

Any thoughts or ideas? I feed her separately too.

A simple solution solution is a tray upstairs. Jackson Galaxy does YouTube videos on one cat attacking or playing with cats who just don’t want to. It’s all about keeping routes in the house clear and avoiding bottle necks.

Just put a tray on a vinyl mat or something. Please don't start shutting her in the bathroom.

It’s boring though, I think if lockdown showed anything it explained why bored animals get destructive.

Would zylkene capsules in her food help her?.

What about a top loader/entry style cat litter box? I’m assuming the reason you don’t want a tray on carpet is due to tracking.
Is it the surprise of being jumped on? If so can you put a bell on playful cat, so she at least has a warning that playful cat is near and she doesn’t get surprised.

Thanks guys it's not the surprise of being jumped on, she worries just seeing him. Thanks for the you tube pointer that's really helpful. I can't create a safe path for her so it's litter tray in the bedroom
