(11 Posts)My beautiful boy has been a little off this week, asking for his dinner later and later in the day and sleeping more.
Last night he was sick a few times through the night, and this morning I couldn’t find him for a while. He was under the kitchen cupboards and finally came out, walking over very slowly for a cuddle.
He’s been sick again, a huge pile of bile and he’s just not active at all. He won’t touch his food or water.
He doesn’t seem in pain, he’s been using his tray during the night and yesterday.
He’s seeing the vets at midday. I’m so so so sick with anxiety and worry over him
Hand hold, I am a mess when mine are poorly too. If only they could tell us how they feel. My fat cat was like this a few months ago, turned out to be just a big hairball and he was demanding breakfast as usual once he brought it up. Fingers crossed nothing serious is wrong with your boy.
Hand hold from me too. It's awful when they are ill.
Thank you I bet I sound like I’m way overreacting, we almost lost him last year and he had to have surgery it was the worst month, I think we are all still shaken by that.
He had streaks of blood in his bile before we left. The vet said that it doesn’t seem to be something like pancreitis as his tummy isn’t too inflamed. No temp what could Have suggested illness either. They have given him an anti Inflammatory to see if he settles but they didn’t say much else
Apparently his teeth are bad too which is a surprise! They were very healthy not too long back so not sure what’s happened there or if it’s too much for concern?
@SeagullSong I hope it is just a big hairball!!
Freda was like this a couple of weeks back. She got an anti sickness tablet and we also discovered she was a little constipated. I know you said hes been using his tray but has he been going normally? As in his poo isn't very hard?
He seemed fairly constipated the day before last (Was very hard) but yesterday he did soft one which looked healthy. So I’m not sure.
He’s had a nibble and a bit of water and been sick again. He’s just so mopey!
It took a couple of days for freda to brighten up after she passed something a bit softer. The anti sickness jag really helped her
Thank you for the reassurance
I hope he is ok.
My little cat had similar symptoms a few weeks ago - she barely touched her breakfast which is completely out of character and she was vomiting and lethargic. The vets couldn’t find any cause, they gave her an anti emetic and said if she was sick enough to vomit after that we had to go straight back. Luckily she didn’t and the next day she was fine, I think she probably ate something she shouldn’t. She’s back to her usual starving self now
