Cat tree recommendation

Seeing as I now have 2 furballs I have decided to invest in a cat tree. Mainly to give them something to ignore I suppose... Wink

Does anyone have any recommendations? I've already had a browse and they all look much of a muchness tbh. I'm thinking of spending £50 ish tops.

If you want to post a pic of your cat in their tree that would be fine too Grin

Mine was from Amazon. Think it was about £50. One of the cats literally climbed all over it as I was building it Grin but hasn’t really spent much time on it since. The other one loves it and always sits right at the top. It’s good for her to be able to get away from everyone up there and I think it’s the only place she truly relaxes

The lower boxes don’t get much action from my cats so maybe a simpler taller one would have been better?

Mine have a set of steps from
Kalven. They love them. Expensive but brilliant quality and will last years.

Oh I'm loving these pictures. There's something just lovely about seeing cats on shelves Grin

Yes, I think one of cats would be likely to use a high perch as a hideaway so I'll focus on those types

FWIW I put some actual shelves up for my cats, but the force of them jumping up onto them pulled them off the wall Blush so I now have a nice selection of holes in the walls and no cat shelves Grin. Maybe they needed stronger fixings or bigger brackets, but if you do think about a wall mounted shelf, just something to bear in mind!

And beware of the measurements - most of the listings for cat trees on Amazon and EBay seem to use superimposed photos of cats that are totally out of scale to the tree! Or they just have kittens on them, to make them look bigger. The cat in the pic isn’t huge (the other one is!) but as you can see, she’s kind of hanging off a little bit - doesn’t seem to bother her, but one mistimed roll over and she could be flying through the air Grin

Mine have a tall post and a barrel. Both get used quite a lot. The hidey holes lower down on the barrel much less so.
I've just ordered the 'penelope' cat tree from Zooplus as they're getting a bit bored and don't want to go out much now it's cooler. My younger cats are very energetic between naps and get naughty if bored! They love climbing and getting up to high places.
