(5 Posts)Our 2 are spoilt rotten and have very much for used to us being at home full time now we're WFH.
We're leaving for a 3 night trip on Tuesday morning. We have a great cat sitter who will come in twice a day on the full days that we're away, once a day when we'll be here in the morning / evening.
It's the longest my 2 year old boy / shadow will have been on his own in his life, and my maternal instincts are going mad.
How long does everyone else leave their cats for, and any tips on how to make it nicer for them?
We leave ours all day and sometimes on the odd occasion overnight too.
My cat is particularly aloof
My boy isn't the cuddliest but needs to be near me ALL THE TIME.
We went away for 10 days last year but had a friend stay the whole time.
I am definitely an over cautious cat mum.
Longest has been 2 week holiday
NDN calls in 3 times a day to feed them - one visit she will stay for 1/2 an hour
They are out and about quite a lot anyway and will always go n visit other neighbours if bored
Pre-Covid she was alone from 8-ish to 5.30-ish. Now, never. If we go away MIL comes in to feed her twice a day, and hang out with her for a bit.
