Does your DCat ignore you all day until dinner time? Then suddenly he's your best friend Grin

Yep. That's how most DCats work I think.

Pretty much. I've got 3, and 1 of them does have the odd chat with me througout the day, with no ulterior motive🤔. None of them are lap cats😿

I wish, they constantly trail around after me, wanting my attention (pats, playtime, etc). Working from home in lockdown they were such a nuisance I had to shut the door (and even then they broke in a few times).

No mine never leaves my side. He chats to me, I have to sit outside so he can see me or he won’t go out and he howls like a dog when left - I can hear him as I leave,

Makes me wonder sometimes what's the point of having a cat if he just ignores you! But we are his slaves Grin

Do you ignore him? Have you tried talking to him, playing with him, actively engaging with him?

DCat female "helps" DH when he's WFH.
Strides along the 2" strip of table at the edge of the laptop.
Purrs and headbutts when he's trying to type .

Helps DD with her homework.

They sleep most of the day then prowl round like two tiny sharks at suppertime.
Early morning, they're outside our door to be let out and have breakfast prepared on their return.

I thought that was in the Job Description (that the cats sent me)

Same as fine art. Beautiful to look at, limited interaction with the family.

God, ours don't ignore us!

5yo male meows and demands head rubs and cuddles, especially first thing in the morning when you're on the toilet Hmm or last thing at night before bed. He's about 10kg and demands to be carried around like a baby!

4yo female squeaks for attention, will sleep on your lap all day if you let her and is in her element when I let her up on the bed with me on Saturday mornings!

9 week old male squeaks constantly, attacks all my furniture and generally irritates the others by biting their tails Grin
