Dcat is one and ready to move on to adult cat food. What is good quality one but affordable? Was wondering about James Wellbeloved? He has been having Purina kitten food.

I use Iams. The cats love it and I feel like it's better for them than some other brands. I keep it in a tin so it's always "fresh".

I use encore and thrive (80% and 90% meat respectively). I buy it from amazon

We use James Wellbeloved grain free. The cat loves it but I wouldn't say it's "the best" - we tried quite a few very high meat content fish based foods which were probably "better" but the cat hated all of them! JW seems like a good compromise between the crap that he'd like to eat and the healthy stuff we want to feed him. I'd buy a few taster packs of various grain free higher than average protein foods and see what your cat likes. Zooplus is a good place to look.

(thrive was one of the ones we tried - worth giving it a go as I'm sure it's excellent but don't fork out for a massive bag until you know your cat likes it)

Mine seem to like Lily's Kitchen.

As does the dog given half the chance.

Thank you all for suggestions. Seems a good idea to buy smaller amounts to try him out first. He isnt fussy though. He is always trying to eat the dogs dry food. And they stand back and let him.

Arden grange is very good.

I think it's a good idea to have a couple of brands on the go at the same time so he's used to eating a few. Then there isn't a problem if there is a supply issue at any point. I know mine are happy with Lily's Kitchen, Scrumbles (or Scumbles... I'm not sure!) and Miaowing Heads so can buy any of those with no trouble.

We use Arden grange, purizon (popular with my cats!) And feringa. Look on zoo plus for small bags to try them on.
