The litter tray

Male cat spraying in corner -please help!

I became the proud servant of three rescue cats in February - two male kittens from the same litter and an older female cat that nobody else wanted. She had been spayed, and I got the two boys neutered in March. We think they were born around August last year. So fa, so good.

One of the boys is black and one is ginger. The ginger one sprays in one or two particular corners of the room every day - I don't think it's wee because he doesn't scrape to hide it. No repellant works, and there don't seem to be any triggers for him to do it.

Does anyone have any ideas at all about how to stop him? The other boy doesn't do it, and all three are happy, healthy and adored. It's a mystery!

It sounds territorial. I would try Feliway/Feliway friends to relax him, and possibly putting a litter tray in those corners to 'catch' the smell so he may not feel the need to keep scenting it.

Also may be worth a vet check if he hasn't had one recently just to rule out any hidden issues that might be affecting him.
