Sorry for the title but it is exactly that! I was due to have my kitten spayed end of March but they cancelled due to covid.
Thing is my cat is clearly on heat she is fucking nuts! Displaying herself to everyone poking her bum up to my 7 and 3 year olds - they think it's hilarious but obviously don't understand why. I just dont know what to do with her she's doing it constantly for the past 2 days and frantically trying to escape from the house. I read online they come on heat every 2 weeks If they don't get pregnant! I'm doomed! Is there anything I can do to stop her being so nuts?

We are in the same boat. But with two of them. What's worse than lockdown? Lockdown with horny cats....

Meow, yowl, arsewiggle. Repeat for hours. Ffs.

I had this with my two girls a few months back, screeching all night and day. As far as i know (and i could be wrong) but there's not much you can do 😭 all i know is it's as bad for them as it is for you to watch them! Poor little mites!

Oh no not two of them that must be horrendous! Yes I feel sorry for her as she doesn't look like she is enjoying it! I tried to cuddle her and she just gave me a look like don't touch me right now!

It might be worth calling the vets as I believe the guidelines have changed (not 100% sure but it doesn't hurt to ask). In the meantime keep doors and windows secure!

Someone else said the rules have changed about neutering. And there is a jag available to temporarily stop seasons I think too.

You should call your vet, I think they'll take pity on you. I went through it with one of my female cats and it's no fun at all.

You’ll have to keep her locked in really well with kids in the house.

The desire to get out and mate is strong.

I had this with my cat the whole time I was pregnant except he WAS neutered- even took him to the vets to check it had actually worked as I couldn't sit down without him trying to hump me - the vet thought it was hilarious! 🤦‍♀️

@ivfgottostaypositive why does this still happen? My boy still makes that mating call sound and tries to mount my poor little kitties (also spayed) but only in the middle of the night 😂

@Oldestchild90s

My little sex pest is a tabby cat and apparently they can be the most dominant and territorial

My vet said my boy was humping me due to my hormones setting him off - obviously when I'm pregnant I must smell very fertile to him!! (I have other male cats who just aren't bothered though!). In fact I often use him as an early pregnancy detection test!

He doesn't hump our other cats though...but does often try it on with my husband and the vet said it's a dominance thing - since he's doing the mounting he's showing my husband whose boss which is even funnier that DH is even further down the pecking order than he thought! 🤣🤣
