I'm so so sad, my lovely little cat has died.

He'd not been well for a while, got very thin, was struggling to breathe and every day when I came downstairs I'd be anxious to see if he was still alive. But now he's gone. I miss him so much, I keep looking out the French windows, hoping to see his little face but he's crawled off in the garden to die alone. I just miss him so much, he was the sweetest little thing and, in lockdown, my little friend, as I live alone. I know pp are facing real losses right now, but this just hurts so much. I posted on here as I know other cat lovers would understand how much love you can feel for a cat. Every time I think of him, and his funny little ways, I start crying. I can't believe I'll never see him again...Sad

I'm sorry for your loss. We had to say goodbye to our cat in February and I still miss her every day. Be kind to yourself and allow yourself time to grieve.

Aw I am so sorry. It is a huge loss I know. Of course you are so sad there is nothing wrong with that. And being stuck in alone is only going to make it worse so be kind to yourself x

Please don't think this isn't a real loss, it is. We lost a cat in 2018 and it was devastating. I'm so so sorry for your loss; you sound lovely, I'll bet he had a wonderful life with you

I'm so sorry. I was heartbroken at the loss of my two last year and that was without lockdown. Flowers

I’m so sorry, I’ve loved and lost a few cats over my life and remember each one, it’s so painful when they aren’t there. I wish we could hold onto them forever but at some point you can’t. Such a rough time to lose him too, but you know in the end it’s for the best for him as he was sick.

Of course it’s a real loss, you see them daily and have a relationship with them.

I had to have my cat PTS last month. I know how awful it feels. I'm sorry for your loss. The only comfort I get is that she had a great life with me and was happy (she was my shadow). I keep thinking I see her out of the corner of my eye. I know she'd be loving the sunny weather at the moment. Hopefully you will get comfort that he had a good life with you Flowers

I’m so sorry, the pain of losing them is awful. He would have had a good life with you being No 1 spoilt cat.

The first few days are awful.

I'm so sorry to hear that, I know exactly what it's like to lose a cat, the grief is just terrible. I lost my old lady last year and now I'm so paranoid about my other girl falling ill, the house just isn't the same when they go.

I wish I could give you a big hug. It’s a very real loss, just because he’s walked across your heart with paw prints doesn’t make it less so than someone who left footprints. The dents on your heart are just as deep.

He looked like a gorgeous cat, and I’m sure he was blessed to be loved by you x

Oh I'm so sorry to hear that. It's so sad to lose our little friends isn't it? One of my beautiful cats died last month from a terrible chest infection so I feel your pain. I try to think about a happy life lived 🐱

So sorry to hear this, I was putting up photos last night and still included photos of our old cats, our oldest boy died 2 years ago and I still miss him. Now have 3 new babies to love. It’s not fair our pets have such short lives.

What did the vet say when you took him? Did you take him. How do you know he's died, have you actually looked?

I'm sorry if I sound insensitive but your post sounds passive like things are out of your control. He could still be alive and able to go to the vet.

Lovely pic 😻

Sorry to hear about your poor cat. Losing a cat is very hard, especially at the moment if you had been spending a lot of time together.

Hope things get better for you!
