Pooing in the garage!!

Bella our 8 month old kitten has now poo'd three times on the carpet in the garage!! She is an indoor cat but likes to explore and play in the garage, catches the odd spider and enjoys climbing on the bikes!! The garage has an internal door which is always open and her litter tray in the room next to the garage, she has never had a problem with using her litter tray.
This had occurred over the last 10 days since she was spayed!! not sure if this is related.
The carpets are odd ends we had in different places in the garage, all three times it's been on different pieces of carpet Hmm I removed the poo and bleached the spots but it's the same carpet that's in the upstairs of the house and I'm worried she starts poo ing on the carpet upstairsConfused
Any ideas why she's started doing this and how to stop would be greatly appreciated x

Is the first litter tray somewhere where quiet and tucked away where she feels safe? That might have a bearing.

I understand why you would want to bleach the spots but ammonia is very similar to the smell of cat urine and she will think another cat is marking "her" garage so that's another reason why she keeps doing it.

A second litter tray in the garage? That might help as an interim measure. You could always move it again, or remove it, in a few weeks time when she settles down.

Thank you SingingLily never thought of that, I have another littler tray so I will put it in the garage today.
Her litter tray is in a quite area, as I said she has always used it so well, poor thing I think she's still stressed from the vet visit and car journeys to and from, hopefully another litter tray will settle things down.

Singinglily - I put a litter tray in the garage and she did poo in it.....yeah!!! but then went and had a pee on the carpet!, she has done this twice now!! I have thrown out the carpet.
